Anderson-Montgomery Consulting Engineers is an engineering firm headquartered in Helena and staffed with individuals with long-standing Montana infrastructure planning, design, construction and grant writing/management experience. We are a small engineering firm, established in July 2000 and committed to providing clients with high quality engineering services and personalized attention at a very reasonable cost. Paul Montgomery, P.E., is President of AMCE, with over 35 years of consulting and regulatory experience. Our staff has worked extensively with communities throughout Montana to address their engineering needs, at a reasonable cost. All municipal projects posed unique challenges, from land acquisition, permitting and technical issues, to funding and public education. We eagerly accept and resolve these challenges, leaving our clients with a successful project. It is our goal to provide complete engineering services, including technical, regulatory and financial solutions to allow project implementation. As a small company competing against larger firms, we work harder to provide the service our clients want and need. |
Paul Montgomery, P.E., and President of AMCE, is a Montana native and earned his Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree at Montana State University. Paul has over 35 years of professional experience - planning, designing, grant writing/administration and implementing municipal and commercial infrastructure projects, primarily wastewater, water, stormwater and transportation projects in Montana and Minnesota. Prior to 1997, Paul worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with over 10 years of technical and regulatory experience in federal and state wastewater management programs, including wastewater permitting and beneficial reuse of municipal biosolids. From a $20M state-of-the-art mechanical wastewater treatment facility, to an innovative biosolids composting plant, to a one-block watermain extension or bike/pedestrian trail, it is his goal to provide engineering services that the client can be proud of and can afford. Paul is a past President of the Montana Water Environment Association, active member of ASCE, a certified Master Scuba Diver and avid outdoorsman. When away from work, he is usually on or underwater, in the backcountry or turning wooden bowls.
