Project: BioSolids & Green Waste Composting
Location: Missoula, MT

Description:  

• Improvements to recently-acquired composting facility
• Helped City purchase a new mixer, tub grinder and screen
• Built a 12-bunker aerated static pile composting plant with positive aeration
• Placement of new facility on concrete surface for protection of groundwater and the Clark Fork

Project: Poplars and Water Re-Use
Location: Missoula, MT

Description:  

• Irrigation of poplars with treated wastewater since 2014
• Planning for harvest of 36,000 hybrid poplars
• Irrigation of land with effluent, intend to re-purpose to another form of agricultural production
• Assisting with harvest/disposal of poplar biomass
• Analyzing what agricultural practices will provide the most benefit to City and surrounding environment

Project: Wastewater Treatment Plan Improvements
Location: Whitefish, MT

Description:  

• New SBR treatment planning, design, & construction management
• New advanced wastewater facilities and headworks
• Flocculating clarifier dome insulation
• Pretreatment facilities with perforated screen biofilter for odor control
• Long-term wastewater handling, solids dewatering basin and storage tank
• River lakes wastewater forcemain
• Discharge permit negotiation and preparation of compliance plan

Completed construction under a teaming agreement with Robert Peccia & Associates of the $23M Aerated Granular Sludge treatment facility in November 2021 - proceeding through startup and performance testing in 2022-23.

Project: I & I Mitigation
Location: Big Mountain, MT

Description:  

• Conducted an Infiltration and Inflow (I&I) evaluation
• Identified a number of possible sources for clear water inputs to the District’s sewer system
• Work to minimize I&I was completed in 2022 with numerous manholes being sealed

Project: Disinfection & Controls (2017-2021)
Location: Alberton, MT

Description:  

• Implemented a telemetry control system that automatically ran the well pump when demand exceeded supply
• Added flow monitoring, safe & effective disinfection to both sources
• Replaced vital infrastructure to enhance system dependability

Project: Distribution, Storage, Metering, New Supply (2017-present)
Location: Alberton, MT

Description:  

• Began designing a $3.7M project in 2022 to address all the Town’s remaining drinking water system issues

Description:  

• Rehabilitation of the existing well – airbursting and casing brushing
• New 20’x20’ pumphouse with a roof hatch for accessing the well
• New piping allowing isolation between the irrigation & potable water systems
• New ultraviolet disinfection equipment with controls
• New well pump controls
• New double check valve assembly with a water meter and pressure transducer
